Enders WWTR recap 2019

Madison, Ill.  – Kory Enders had his best result of the season, finishing 3rd with DEForce Racing at round twelve of the Indy Pro 2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires over the weekend.

Enders showed up with his No. 7 DEForce Racing Tatuus PM-18 dialed in after testing at the venue the week prior. With his machine looking strong, Enders was able to focus on driving solely and came out on top in practice with the fastest time of 31.29 seconds at a top speed of 143.78 mph. Qualifying was run in the order of the championship standings, which put Enders out relatively early after missing a few rounds of the 2019 Indy Pro 2000 Championship. Despite running with the disadvantage of less grip, Enders still qualified in 2nd place for the start of the race.

The beginning of the 55-lap race had side-by-side racing and three lead changes before Lap 7 where Enders followed race leader, Kyle Kirkwood and created at 3.5 second lead over the field. On Lap 40, DEForce teammate, Moises de la Vara spun and made contact with the wall bringing out the only caution of the race. The green flag came back out on Lap 48 where Enders endured a considerable amount of pressure for the remaining seven laps from Rasmus Lindh who ultimately got the pinch on Enders in the final corner of the last lap leaving him to cross the finish line in 3rd place.

Next on the calendar for the Enders and the rest of the Road to Indy Presented by Cooper Tires is a doubleheader at Portland International Raceway on August 31/September 1.
