Lexington, Ohio – Will Owen, currently tied for third in the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, has made it to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the second to last race weekend of the season. All three branches of the Mazda Road to Indy will be in attendance this weekend supporting the Verizon IndyCar Series.

Track activity includes three test sessions before official practice tomorrow morning at 7:45am EST. The 30-minute qualifying session is scheduled to go green at 11:30am EST where the 21-year-old will be fighting amongst the rest of the field for pole position.

Tied for third with Frenchman, Nico Jamin, Owen will be looking to win his first race of the season in order to make a jump in the points. Both races will take place on Saturday with race one at 8:35am EST and race two at 6pm EST.

Will Owen Driver #23 AMR Juncos Racing

“I’m happy to be back at Mid-Ohio and I know this will be a fun weekend. This is one of the most challenging, but entertaining tracks on the Pro Mazda Championship’s calendar. There’s a good change of rain all weekend long, so I’m pretty sure at least one of our races will be full wet. I think this is actually a good thing because it mixes things up, but this is a difficult track so we will really need to be on top of our game and be prepared for that. This is a critical weekend and I know Juncos Racing has performed well here in the past. I’m pretty confident and looking forward to what is to come.”
